Allu Arjun on Pushpa 3. The mammoth success of Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer Pushpa: The Rise set a high bar for the Telugu film industry. The Icon Star garnered global recognition and appreciation for his stellar performance as Pushparaj aka Pushpa. All eyes are now on Pushpa 2: The Rule, with rumors abuzz about plans for Pushpa 3. Recently, Allu Arjun revealed plans for the franchise's expansion.
Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Pushpa: The Rise marked Allu Arjun's first pan-India movie. The film follows Pushparaj's journey from a laborer to a smuggler. Allu Arjun's portrayal earned him the Best Actor award at India's National Film Awards.
Anticipation for the sequel is skyrocketing among fans, fueled further by speculations about Pushpa 3. Allu Arjun confirmed these plans, stating, "You can definitely expect part three, we do want to make it a franchise and we have exciting ideas for the lineup."
Speaking about Pushpa 2, Allu Arjun mentioned, "It is going to have a very different shade of Pushpa than what you’ve seen in Pushpa 1, because it is the lower end of the spectrum that you’ve seen."
He hinted at a higher scale of characterisation, scale, and presentation, with a bigger canvas for the storyline compared to the first part. The conflict between Pushpa and Police officer Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, played by Fahadh Faasil, is set to escalate to a much bigger scale.
Pushpa 2: The Rule is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 15, during the Indian Independence Day holiday frame. Allu Arjun also has other exciting projects in the pipeline.
