Anil Sunkara doing a film with John Abraham. Noted Telugu producer Anil Sunkara is set to venture into Bollywood, following the footsteps of his colleagues, with a high-profile film in Hindi. "I am not following anyone; rather, I met Bollywood actor John Abraham five years ago and even paid him an advance. I've been waiting for the right script," says Anil Sunkara.

"Now that we've found a subject with universal appeal, we are ready to start the film, helmed by the young director Ajay. I am truly excited about this new challenge," he adds.

In the Telugu film industry, Anil Sunkara is exploring diverse genres, including a supernatural thriller titled "Ooru Peru Bhairavakona," tapping into the trend of supernatural thrillers in Tollywood. "I am not simply following a trend. We started working on this film over two years ago, and its release timing coincides with the rise of supernatural thrillers' popularity. I previously produced 'Raju Gari Gadhi' in this genre, so I am not new to it," he explains.

His recent success with the comic-caper "Samajavaragamana" has encouraged him to explore new kinds of movies, such as "Hidhimba." However, after the success of star-studded films like "Dhookudu" and "Sarileru Neekevvaru," his projects "Agent" and "Bholaa Shankar" didn't achieve the same level of success. "I enjoy making larger-than-life movies, but I've resolved not to focus on 'combination' films. Instead, I'll make star movies if I find the right script. I would love to work with Mahesh Babu again, but he is busy with his film with director S S Rajamouli. I also admire Chiranjeevi garu for his dedication and professionalism, and I would love to work with him," he concludes.
