Rajadhani Files (2024) Movie: What's Behind

"Rajadhani Files" generated immense hype from the moment it was announced, promising to shed light on the struggles of Amaravathi farmers against the formation of three capitals in Andhra Pradesh by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy and the YSRCP government. Let's explore the impact it had on movie lovers.

Rajadhani Files Movie: Story Review

Rajadhani Files delves into the tumultuous fight of farmers in Amaravathi against the government's decision to establish three capitals. The story centers around Gautam (Pushparaj Akilan), whose father (Vinod Kumar) wields significant influence over 40 villages in the Airavati region of Arunarashtra. Initially, Gautam's father, on the request of the then AP CM Prajakiram, persuades villagers to give up their fertile lands for the construction of the capital Airavati, promising a prosperous future. His mother (Vani Vishwanath) also supports this decision.

However, the situation takes a drastic turn when a new regime led by KRS comes to power, advocating for decentralization of power and the establishment of three capitals. This shift in government policy impacts Gautam, who has secured a job in the US, and Aiswarya (Veena Panchaparavala). The film explores the consequences of this political change on the lives of these characters and the broader implications for the region.

Rajadhani Files Telugu Movie: Artists Review

Vinod Kumar portrayed the village leader with remarkable conviction, bringing out the right emotions and expressions to elevate the scenes. His delivery of powerful dialogues left a lasting impact, making his character memorable. Vani Vishwanath's portrayal was emotionally engaging, effectively resonating with the audience.

Pushparaj Akilan, as Vinod Kumar's son, portrayed his role with sincerity, displaying good mannerisms and staying true to his character. Veena Panchaparvala, although her role was minor, delivered a commendable performance as the female lead, connecting well with the audience.

Supporting actors like Vishal Patani, Shanmukh, and others performed their roles convincingly, adding depth to the narrative. Amrutha Chowdhary also made a notable impact with her performance, leaving a strong impression despite her limited screen time.

Rajadhani Files Telugu Film: Technicians Review

Rajadhani Files, crafted by director Bhanu Shankar, aimed to shed light on the challenges faced by Amaravathi farmers due to the government's decision to establish three capitals in Andhra Pradesh. To steer clear of political controversies, Shankar opted not to use real names and characters, a decision worthy of appreciation.

The narrative begins with farmers willingly offering their lands to the government and explores how their lives are affected by a change in decision. Shankar effectively conveys emotions and intensifies scenes with powerful dialogues. However, the excessive dramatization, particularly in portraying violence, tends to overshadow the film's message. The second half drags, testing the audience's patience, and the conclusion brings a sense of relief.

Despite the film's noble intentions, Shankar takes many cinematic liberties that defy logic. The story is predictable, the screenplay is passable, and the direction is average.

Manisharma's music is adequate, with situational songs and a commendable background score. Cinematographer Ramalingam Ramesh Babu effectively captures the plight of Amaravathi and the power struggles. However, editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao's work could have been sharper, as the film suffers from several dragging and repetitive scenes.

Overall, "Rajadhani Files" boasts good production values but falls short in terms of storytelling execution and pacing.

Rajadhani Files: Advantages

Rajadhani Files: Disadvantages

Rajadhani Files Movie: Rating Analysis

In its portrayal of the struggle of Amaravathi farmers, Rajadhani Files aims to bring the real-life events to a global audience. While the film's intention is commendable, director Bhanu's approach occasionally veers into melodrama and excessive violence. Taking these aspects into consideration, Cinejosh gives Rajadhani Files a rating of 2.5 out of 5.
