However, he eventually shelved the plans as he reportedly believed that 'Neru' lacked a broader appeal to capture the attention of Telugu audiences. The decision was influenced by the film's narrative, which focused on the story of a blind rape victim, deemed simpler and more limited in scope compared to the socially resonant themes championed in 'Vakeel Saab.'
