James Cameron Revealed The Release Dates Of Future Avatar Films

James Cameron, The top director in Movie world has recently delivered an all-time highest grosser with Avatar 2 The Way Of Water which is a sequel to 2009's release, Avatar. While Avatar still stands top as highest grossing film in the world, Avatar 2 made it to third position by collecting $ 2.3 Billion. 

Initially, Avatar 2 received mixed reports but once people started watching the film on big screen, they get enchanted by the world created by James Cameron and he confirmed about the sequels. James is planning to release ‘Avatar 3’ in December 2025 and he has already shot for this film and Avatar 4 while shooting for ‘’The Way of Water’. 

James Cameron told People magazine about upcoming Avatar sequel,  “We did the motion capture on three and the live-action photography on three as an intermingled production with ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’, and we even did part of movie four because our young characters are all going to have a big time jump in movie four,. We see them and then we go away for six years and we come back. And so the part where we come back is the part we haven’t shot yet. So we’ll start on that after three is released.”

'Avatar 3’ was to release in December 2024 but has been delayed to December 2025. ‘Avatar 4’ will arrive in December, 2029, followed by ‘Avatar 5’ in December 2031. Interestingly, this timeline suggests that the last film in the ‘Avatar’ franchise will release 22 years after the first blockbuster, which released in 2009.
