Nayanthara is the highest paid south Indian actress at the moment. She attained Lady Superstar status with diversified roles she played and elegantly portrayed on-screen. Her off-screen persona also catapulted her stardom among her fans and audience. Presence of Nayanthara surely add more value to any project. It is not something She achieved overnight with a couple of blockbusters. She earned it with a career spanning over two decades. 

Nayanthara made her debut with a Malayalam film, Manassikkare in 2003 which became a commercial success followed by doing two more films in Malayalam the same year. She debuted into Tamil with Sarath Kumar starrer Ayya on 2005 which earned her good recognition. But, during the making of Ayya itself she got the role as female lead opposite Superstar Rajinikanth's Chandramukhi and Suriya's Ghajini which both turned out to be a huge blockbusters in Tamil and Telugu.

Nayanthara made her debut to Telugu with Venkatesh starrer Lakshmi which became a superhit. Then she became busy in both Telugu and Tamil grabbing offers with stars in big films. Meanwhile she did films in Malayalam too. She won Filmfare as best actress for her portrayal as Goddess Sita in Sri Rama Rajyam costarring Nandamuri Balakrishna. 

After a brief set back she made stunning comeback with Ajith's Arrambam, followed by Thani Oruvan. Nayanthara also started doing female oriented films in this phase. She proved her calibre with Maya, Dora, Imaikka Nodigal, Kolamaavu Kokila, Airaa, Aramm etc.,.. She also made her Bollywood debut with Blockbuster Jawan opposite Shahrukh Khan. Nayanthara married her longtime boyfriend, director Vignesh Shvn. The couple has two baby boys named Uyir and Ulagam.
