Rhea on being branded as a witch. Rhea Chakraborty has responded to the labels and stigmas that have been associated with her, particularly following the tragic death of her boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput. During an interview with India Today, Rhea also opened up about the topic of black magic. She even shared a memorable moment from her time in jail when she was granted bail and chose to celebrate it in a unique way.

Rhea expressed a rather unconventional perspective on being called a "chudail" or witch. She found the term intriguing and explained its historical connotations. In her view, a witch was a woman who refused to conform to the norms of a patriarchal society, someone who dared to hold her own opinions and beliefs, even if they went against the prevailing male-dominated narrative. Rhea hinted that she might embody such characteristics and suggested that perhaps she possesses knowledge of black magic. She used this interpretation to shed light on the patriarchal nature of society, emphasizing that many of the accusations against her were rooted in this bias.

Reflecting on the day she obtained bail, Rhea shared a poignant and emotional moment. Despite her relief at being released, she was deeply saddened by her brother's continued incarceration. It was on this day that she experienced a profound breakdown. She had previously promised her fellow inmates that she would dance on the day she was granted bail. Initially, she hesitated to fulfill this promise, but when the jailer encouraged her to let go, she ultimately decided to go through with it.

Her rationale was that she might never see these women again, so if she could bring them a few moments of happiness through a dance performance, she saw no reason not to do so. As a result, she and her fellow inmates joyfully performed a dance that she fondly referred to as the "naagin dance," creating a memorable and ecstatic moment in her life.
