Secret behind 'Robot' title

We already know that Rajinikanth was not the first choice for the title role of ‘Robot,’ the highest budgeted movie in entire Indian cinema. Kamal Hasan and Shahrukh Khan were earlier thoughts in the mind of director Shankar for the role but it was Rajini who finally bagged it.

It was so sweet of Shahrukh Khan that he ended his relation with Shankar on a very sour note after working on ‘Robot’ script for a very long time but when Shankar requested Khan to release the title of the flick for his project with Rajini, he readily agreed and the title is now for Rajini-Shankar combo. Issue is that ‘Robot’ title was registered by Shahrukh Khan’s company Red Chillies long ago but King Khan sacrificed the title for Shankar opting himself to go for ‘Ra One’ for his next sci-fi flick based on Robotics.
