Raghavendra Rao demands Bharat Ratna for NTR. The other day, Sr NTR, a legendary actor and politician got a rare honor when President Droupadi Murmu released Rs 100 coin in honor of him. During the release event, President Murmu remembered the achievements of Sr NTR.

She said  “He breathed life into the prominent characters of Ramayana and Mahabharata through his acting. The characters of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna played by him became so alive that people started worshiping NTR,” She added "NTR had also expressed the pain of the common people through his acting and had even spread the message of social justice and equality through one of his films “Manushulanta Okkate”

She even recollected NTR's political achievements saying "NTR’s popularity was equally wide as a public servant and leader. He created a unique chapter in Indian politics through his extraordinary personality and hard work. “He initiated many public welfare programs, which are remembered till today,”

In the midst of all this star filmmaker Raghavendra Rao speaking to scribes, demanded the highest award Bharat Ratna for Sr NTR. He even started the online petition saying "We Demand Bharat Ratna for NTR Garu#bharatrathna #ntr" He recollected the extraordinary stature of Sr NTR and requested the Union Government to recognise his achievements and confer Bharat Ratna. His post got huge response on social media.
