Jailer to delete RCB jersey scene. Super Star Rajinikanth scored a resounding blockbuster in form of Jailer. The film directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar grossed more than Rs 500crs across the world at the box office. This proved that Rajinikanth's fan following and craze are intact and if shown in a perfect way, box office will be in for a blast.

Now reports are coming that the makers of Jailer decided to do away with the scene featuring RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) jersey. It is known that the film has a scene where a contract killer was seen wearing RCB jersey. The counsel for RCB franchise has taken exception and following that on mutual consent, the makers decided to do away with the scene.

The scene will be deleted from the film starting from 1 September 2023. Sun Pictures assured the Court that it will make the said change in the theatrical version by September 1. Also, it will ensure that the versions on television and OTT platforms also reflect the said change.

The court ordered, “The Defendants as also all parties acting for or on their behalf including their distribution network shall be bound by the above terms and conditions. With effect from 1st September, 2023, in the theatrical depiction of the film Jailer the RCB team jersey shall stand edited/altered. The Defendants shall ensure that after 1st September, 2023, none of the theatres would exhibit the RCB jersey in any form whatsoever. Insofar as television, satellite or any OTT platform is concerned, prior to the release thereof, the altered version of the film shall be broadcasted/telecasted.”
