Producer Appi Reddy About Re-Releases

Small film, Mr Pregnant was released on August 18th in theatres. Bigg Boss fame Sohel and Roopa played lead roles. The film made with a unique point of male becoming pregnant has received accolades for its new attempt. 

Off late the trend of re-releases has been booming in Tollywood. Many Blockbusters of Star heroes are getting re-released almost every week. Not only Telugu films, popular Tamil dubbed films are also getting released and receiving tremendous response from public. 

These re-releases are becoming like a watch party for fans and movie lovers to relive those moments back today with a huge crowd. Most of the re-releases are targetting weekend for their releases in theatres. This has become problem for new releases, especially for small films. 

Mr Pregnant Producer Appi Reddy in the film's success meet raised the issue and made some valid point. He said that it is becoming difficult to find a free Friday to release small films and re-releases are affecting them by getting released on the same day. He made a suggestion to re-release films during weekdays so that small films should get some space during weekend. He also said that he will be taking this issue to producers council also.
