Jailer Cruising Ahead With 90 Crs Profit Already

Superstar Rajinikanth' latest action entertainer Jailer which was released on August 10th. The film registered record openings and has entered in its second week churning big numbers at the ticket counters. Jailer stands at a 8-day total of Rs 437+ Crs gross globally.

The film has crossed Kamal Haasan's Vikram (430 Crs) and emerged as third highest grossing Tamil film after 2.0 (700 Crs) and Ponniyin Selvan 1 (500 Crs ). Jailer has crossed Rs 200 Crore mark in Tamil Nadu alone. 

The Telugu version is also performing exceptionally well. It has collected a share of Rs 33 Crs in its 8 days and a gross of Rs 57 Crs in Telugu states. The film which was released with a breakeven target of Rs 124 Crores has collected Rs 214 Crs share worldwide. The film is already made Rs 90+ Crs profit and will collect further more in the coming days.

Day before Jailer release, Rajinikanth had left for the Himalayas. He visited the Badrinath Temple in Uttarakhand recently and also meditated at a cave in Pandavkholi. He was in Jharkhand on Thursday where he spent an hour meditating at Yagoda ashram in Ranchi. He had also met Jharkhand Governor C P Radhakrishnan at the Raj Bhavan and visited the Chinnamastika temple at Rajrappa in adjoining Ramgarh district.
