Chota K Naidu on PS I, KGF, and Pedha Kapu. Chota K Naidu is known for his camera work on the big screen and he turns the visuals rich apart from giving them a natural and realistic feel. Speaking to scribes, Chota K Naidu shared his thoughts on Mani Ratnam's PS I (Ponniyin Selvan), KGF, and the upcoming project Pedha Kapu.

Sharing his thoughts he said "I liked the cinematography in the movie, 'KGF', but I was disappointed with Mani Rathnam's much-hyped 'Ponniyin Selvan'. I had been the biggest fan of Mani Ratnam for decades, as I used to rush to Chennai to watch each of his films and returned by night flight and was fascinated with some of his best works in terms of content and making. But personally, I feel that his work in 'Ponniyin Selvan' was not up to the mark, despite its box office success, it left me in despair."

About Pedha Kapu, he said " Actually, a cinematographer's job is to interpret the screenplay in a visual form and guide the viewers' emotions through color, light, shots, angles, and movement. I spent around 70 days at various locations for our film 'Pedda Kapu' and studied rain and non-rainy season near River Godavari to get the tone and tenor right for the movie. Surely, it takes some effort. "

Pedha Kapu is releasing in two parts and marks the debut of Vikrant Karnaa in the lead role. The film has a 1980s backdrop and has political and caste tangles and also a period backdrop.
