Chennai court shocks Jayaprada. Veteran actress Jayaprada landed in trouble when Chennai High Court passed a verdict awarding a fine and six months imprisonment to her.
The Egmore Court fined Rs 5,000 and was sentenced to six-month imprisonment after hearing a petition filed by the employees of a movie theatre owned by Jayaprada.
The theater in Royapetta, Chennai is run by Ram Kumar and Raj aBabu and the employees approached the court accusing the management for not paying the ESIs. Jayaprada promised to pay the employees ESI and requested the court to dismiss the case. However, the advocate of the Labour Government Insurance Corporation objected to her appeal and the court after hearing the case, fined Jayaprada Rs 5000 and also six-month imprisonment.
However, it is known that Jayaprada is currently not staying in Chennai or in Two Telugu states. She is not available for comment and reports have it that Jayaprada paid the fine and got the bail.
