Vivek Agnihotri, who has been regularly in the headlines with his controversial statements and films like The Kashmir Files came to the rescue of Akshay Kumar's OMG 2 censor issue. Vivek Agnihotri, who is also a part of the board of Central Board of Film Certification, recently spoke about the many cuts that were given to Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2.
He expressed his disappointment over treating the film by censor and called it, it is not justified and added that even though he was a part of CBFC, he was totally against it. Vivek said that he has not watched the film yet and he was not a part of the revising committee that gave out the list of changes to the makers.
Akshay was apparently playing Lord Shiva in the film but his character was changed to ‘messenger of God’ after CBFC’s directives and when asked if it was justified, Vivek said, “No, it is not justified. I don’t agree with that. First of all, even though I am a part of CBFC but I am totally against it.”
He also said that, He said, People are intelligent. Let the audience watch it and digest it. He also added that one should consider the filmmaker’s intention before making a decision. He questioned, What is the intention of the filmmaker? If the intention is not bad, let it go, he said. OMG 2 will hit the screens on August 11.
