TRS leaders draw flak

Mahabubabad MLA Kavitha on Tuesday blamed the Trs leader K Chandrasekhara Rao for Saturday's violence at Mahabuabad railway station during the Odarpu yatra of MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Trs chief K Chandrasekhara Rao, Telangana JAC convener Kodanda Ram and Harish Rao were responsible for the stone-pelting and firing in Mahabubabad and demanded the arrest of these leaders immediately.

Kavita said KCR failed to console the bereaved families during the Telangana agitation. “What is wrong in consoling the bereaved families,” she questioned.

By not allowing Odarpu yatra in the Telangana region, the Trs leaders have created a law and order problem and politicised the issue, she stated.

She said the MP has taken up the yatra at his individual level and he does not want any political mileage out of it.

Kavitha vowed to visit the hospitals where students are undergoing treatment for the injuries they received during stone pelting in Mahabubabad.
