A Telugu Desam Party team led by its senior leader Erraballi Dayakar Rao on Wedneday met the Warangal Superintendent of Police in connection with the Odarpu Yatra launched by Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy in the district on Wednesday.
Errabbally informed the SP of the serious repercussions of Jagan’s Odarpu Yatra and urged the senior cop against allowing Jagan to carry on his Yatra in Warangal district.
The delegation met the SP and the Collector and submitted memoranda to them. They reiterated their resolve to disrupt the Odarpu Yatra under all circumstances.
On the other hand, MLC Konda Murali (Congress) met the SP and assured the police authorities that they would conduct Jagan’s Odarpu Yatra in a peaceful manner.
Meanwhile, Director General of Police Girish Kumar told the media at Kakinada that ``we will take all steps and ensure that Jagan’s Odarpu Yatra will not be disrupted and no untoward incident takes place.’’
