The people will decide who will succeed him as the leader of Telugu Desam, thundered TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu on the eve of Mahanadu which is scheduled to commence on Thursday at Gandipet.
Interacting with the media here on Wednesday, the former Chief Minister said the TDP is not gunning for mid-term polls, but it wants to solve the problems in the state. The topics to be discussed at length during the three-day Mahanadu include the problems of the farmers and the fee reimbursement for the students.
Chandrababu said, ``the TDP has identified some issues for discussion during the three-day Mahanadu. Some of the key issues to figure include financial crisis, law and order situation, corruption, misuse of power by the government, and price rise.
Lack of basic amenities, social justice, power, irrigation, human resource development, empowerment of youth and women are among the issues that may figure during the panel discussions.
The party is all set to attack the state government for the tardy drought and flood relief measures, communal riots, poor law and order situation, power cuts, financial crisis and poor governance.
Referring to his son Lokesh's entry to politics, the TDP chief said ``it’s for Lokesh to decide whether to step into politics or not.''The TDP will elect its president on May 28 during the Mahanadu.
