Don't teach rules, we aren't kids: Naidu to Speaker

There was din in the State Assembly on Thursday after Telugu Desam leader N Chandrababu Naidu came down on Speaker Kiran Kumar Reddy for ''treating the Opposition leaders as schoolchildren''.

Naidu made the remark against the Speaker for according priority to speakers from the treasury benches to raise public issues in the House.

Raising objections to such attitude, Naidu wanted Kiran Kumar Reddy to allot time for the Opposition leader to raise pressing issues.

“I have more than 30 years experience in politics. You should know how to behave with senior leaders. Don’t treat our members as schoolchildren, each time asking them to learn the conduct rules of the House,” Naidu ejaculated.

He urged the Speaker to provide an opportunity to all members to raise public problems in the Assembly.
