BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday alleged that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi has tried to enter into an alliance with the BJP.
Speaking to media persons here, Venkaiah Naidu said that it was the TRS which had initiated the process of talks for having an alliance with the BJP in Telangana. However, the BJP rejected the offer as it was not willing to accept the conditions laid by the TRS. He accused TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao of leveling baseless allegations against the BJP as the latter had refused to ally with his party.
Venkaiah Naidu strongly defended the BJP's alliance with the Telugu Desam Party and said it was done in the people's interest. He expressed confidence that the TDP-BJP alliance would win majority of seats in both Telangana and Seemandhra and the NDA would come to power at the Centre by winning more than 300 seats.
The BJP leader also dismissed the possibilities of a Third Front Government at the Centre. While raising questions over the existence of such a front, he said any government formed by the Third Front would be weak and would collapse in a short time bringing instability in the country.
