Palwai also described the claims of defeating the Telangana Bill in State Legislative Assembly as the biggest lie of the year. He said that Bill was tabled in the Assembly only for taking views and there would be no voting for the same. He said that the Telangana State would be formed within one week after Parliament passes the Bill.

The Congress MP informed that he made a representation to President of India Pranab Mukherjee seeking one national project on Godavari River for Telangana region. He alleged that the State Government argued the case before the Brijesh Kumar Tribunal only in favour of Seemandhra region. After State's bifurcation, he said that the Telangana Government would contest the Tribunal's verdict.

Palwai said that the Pranahita Chevella Project should be supplied with 300 TMC water and be permitted to generate 2400 MW of power. He said that this would bring justice to the Telangana region. However, he said that he was not against granting of national project status to Polavaram Project.
