Rich tributes were paid to former union minister minister and TDP leader K Yerran Naidu on his first death anniversary here on Saturday.
Addressing a condolence meeting at the NTR Trust Bhavan, TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu recalled the services of Yerran Naidu to the party and people. He said that the vaccum created due to Yerran Naidu's death could be never filled. Describing him as the most committed and dedicated public representative, he said Yerran Naidu rendered lot of services to the people in his constituency, State and the nation in various capacities.
The TDP chief said that Yerran Naidu's behaviour with everyone, especially the party workers, was exemplary. He was always with them in both good and bad times. He never defied the party orders and discipline, Naidu said.
Chandrababu Naidu asked the TDP leaders and workers to follow the ideals of Yerran Naidu of rendering exemplary services to the society. He assured that the TDP would extend all support to Yerran Naidu's family.
Earlier, Naidu along with Yanamala Ramakrisunudu, T Devender Goud, Errabelli Dayakar Rao and others leaders paid floral tributes to Yerran Naidu's portrait.
Yerran Naidu, a four time MP, was killed in a ghastly road accident on November 2 last year while returning to his home district of Srikakulam from Visakhapatnam after attending a wedding. The 55-year-old TDP leader had also served as Union Minister for Rural Development from 1996 to 1998. He was survived by wife, a son and a daughter.
