The pro-Telangana leaders were prevented by the Hyderabad Police from hoisting black flags to mark the Andhra Pradesh Formation Day on Friday.
TPJAC chairman Prof M Kondadaram and other leaders, who gathered at the Gun Park near Telangana Martyrs' Memorial, were prevented by the police when they tried to hoist black flags to observe "Telangana Betrayal Day". Following objection by the police, they hoisted the TPJAC flag.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Kodandaram said that it was the last AP Formation Day which was celebrated in the State. He said soon there would be grand celebrations of formation of Telangana State. He asked the people to be cautious and active till Telangana State is formed with 10 districts and Hyderabad as its capital.
