A local court has issued a Non Bailable Warrant (NBW) against MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Oawaisi in connection with the alleged hate speech.
The Nampally court today issued the NBW and asked the Mandannapet police to produce Akbaruddin Owaisi before it on May9.
The Nampally VII Metropolitan Court was moved by a lawyer Karunasagar alleging that Akbaruddin Owaisi was involved in hate speech hurting the religious sentiments.
Earlier, there were a plethora of cases filed against Akbaruddin in Sangareddy, Nizamabad, Adilabad and other places. He was in Adilabad district jail for 40 days in connection with two cases of inflammatory speeches.
He was earlier booked for allegedly using provocative language against a community at public meetings in Adilabad and Nizamabad districts in December last year. He was arrested on January 8 and faces charges of sedition and waging war against the nation.
In the first case, the Adilabad granted him conditional bail that he will not enter Nirmal town and will surrender his passport.
In the second case, the Nizamabad court allowed Mr Owaisi bail on the condition that he should cooperate with the investigation.
