The Telugu Desam Party celebrated the Andhra Pradesh Formation Day at its party headquarters NTR Trust Bhavan here on Thursday.
Addressing the TDP leaders and workers after unfurling the national flag, TDP Senior Vice-President Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said that the morals in politics have taken a back seat in the State. Accusing the Congress and YSR Congress party of indulging in large scale corruption, he said that the misadministration has brought the developmental activities to a halt in the State. However, he said that the TDP would continue to promote and encourage the moral politics in the State.
Ramakrishnudu appealed to the people to recognise their real representatives. He said while the Congress and YSRCP were busy in scoring points against each other, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu was moving among people to understand their problems.
The TDP leader also criticised the government for its failure to maintain law and order in the State.
Earlier, Ramakrishnudu also garlanded the portraits of Potti Sriramulu and NT Rama Rao at the party office. Senior TDP leaders TD Janardhan, Syed Yousuf and other leaders also participated in the celebrations.
