The seperate Telangana issue continued to haunt Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu during his padayatra "Vastunna Mee Kosam".

Naidu, who resumed his second day padayatra from Kollakuntla village of Anantapur district, was taken aback when some activists disrupted his meeting in protest against his stand on the Telangana issue. The activists were raising slogans in favour of united Andhra Pradesh. They demanded that Naidu openly oppose the formation of Telangana State. However, the activists were later pacified by the TDP leaders which facilitated the continuation of Naidu's padayatra.

Interacting with different sections of the people during his padayatra, Naidu emphasised on empowerment of women, minorities, deprived classes and youth. He said the growth of country's wealth depends on the development of these deprived sections of the society. The residents of Kollakuntla village apprised Naidu that they were facing hardship due to frequent power cuts and meager pensions.

Chandrababu Naidu assured that the people of giving a better administration if he comes to power during next elections. He said he would rectify the mistakes committed in the past and would prioritise the welfare of poor and downtrodden classes. He also slammed the Congress Government for its failure to address the problems being faced by the people.
