Communist Party of India State Secretary K Narayana on Saturday denied allegations that he used unparliamentary language against the Congress MPs and MLAs.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of party's Telangana Praja Poru Yatra which reached Karimangar on Saturday, Narayana said that he never used any unparliamentary language or indecent remarks against the MLAs or MPs. However, he said he criticised the ruling party legislators for their failure to pressurise their High Command over the Telangana issue. He said if the Congress party was planning to move a privilege motion against him, then they should do the same with the State Government which failed on all fronts to solve the problems being faced by the people.
Narayana said that the Congress party lacks clarity on the Telangana statehood issue and it was the responsibility of the party MLAs and MPs to mount pressure on their High Command to give a clear statement on the issue. He said that the CPI's Yatra was aimed at pressurising the Centre to grant statehood for the Telangana region.
