Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA T Harish Rao condemned the State Government's move to release water to Krishna delta farmers from Nagarjuna Sagar ignoring the Telangana region.
Talking to media persons here on Friday, Harish Rao demanded that the government take back its decision immediately and warned of serious consequences if it fails to do so. If the government releases water to Krishna delta, he said that the Telangana region including the State capital Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Nalgonda and Mahbubnagar would face serious drinking water problem.
The TRS leader demanded that the Ministers and MLAs from Mahbubnagar and Hyderabad including Danam Nagender and Mukesh Goud respond on the issue immediately. The releasing of water from Nagarjuna Sagar dam has once again exposed the conspiracy of Seemandra leaders, he alleged.
Harish Rao also said that the Telangana people are opposed to the proposal of `Rayala-Telagnana’ being floated by a section of Congress leaders from Telangana and Rayalaseema regions. Stating that the people of Telangana want a State that originally existed before it merged with Andhra State, he demanded that the Telangana Ministers and MPs respond on the issue immediately.
