Rajya Sabha member K Chiranjeevi on Friday accused YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy of being responsible for the present political uncertainty in the State.
Participating in the by-election campaign in the Tirupati Assembly constituency, Chiranjeevi alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy’s greed for power and money forced the by-elections and brought the administration to a halt. Besides imposing a huge burden on the State's exchequer, the by-elections also diverted the attention of State Government from the people’s problems, he pointed out.
Chiranjeevi also came down heavily on YSR Congress party honorary president Vijayamma for raising suspicion over the demise of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at the time of by-elections. He alleged that Vijayamma has been raising YSR's death issue to gain people's sympathy and to cover up her son's crimes. He suggested that Vijayamma direct her son Jagan Mohan Reddy to confess his crime of accumulating wealth through illegal methods.
Chiranjeevi also raised serious objection on a few Congress MLAs openly expressing solidarity with the YSR Congress party. When the CBI has clear evidence to prove charges against Jagan Mohan Reddy, he asked the Congress leaders as to how they could support the YSR Congress party and Jagan's corruption.
