Rajya Sabha member K Chiranjeevi on Saturday expressed confidence that the Congress party would win in majority of constituencies in the ensuing by-elections held for 18 Assembly segments in the state.
Talking to media persons, Chiranjeevi stated that he would plan a winning strategy of party candidates before launching the campaign in the by-election constituencies by consulting senior leaders and local leaders.
He hoped that his campaign in the ensuing by-elections would definitely yield result and party candidates emerge victorious in the elections.
Admitting the delay in the announcement of aspirant list, he said that the high command would take a decision in this regard soon.
Responding to by-elections in Tirupati Assembly constituency, Chiranjeevi said that he had not recommended any candidate so far for the constituency and high command would announce a suitable candidate for it.
“I have not given any suggestions or recommendations over the choosing of party candidate for Tirupati constituency. The high command has given free hand to choose right candidate,” he stated.
He also stated that his family members would never contest from Tirupati Assembly constituency vacated by him
