Ysr Congress Party on Friday stated that the future of the Congress party looks bleak as the governance or the lack of it has manifested in many ways in the State, leaving farmers, students, employees and many sections of the society unhappy even as reports from Raj Bhavan have hinted at President’s Rule in the State.

Talking to media persons at Ysr Congress Party office, party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma said that the farmers are in distress and employees are worried as 6,000 files are pending with the Chief Minister resulting in failure of administration.

“With the administrative machinery coming to a standstill, Congress leaders are looking for greener pastures. The main Opposition TDP, instead of highlighting the failures of State Government has been following the single-point formula of trying to defame Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and his family members,” she pointed out.

To tide over the impending crisis, the buzz doing the rounds is that the Governor has recommended for imposition of President’s Rule as a viable option which shows the hollowness of system, she said.

“The report, it is believed, mentioned that YSR Congress will win majority of the seats which will influence Congress leaders to shift loyalty", she said.

It was also reportedly mentioned that majority of the MPs and MLAs have come to the conclusion that the Congress will fare badly in the 2014 election and change of Chief Minister will not help the party.

“When the Governor, who headed the Intelligence Bureau (IB), had reportedly given such an appraisal, the writing is on the wall that the days of Congress are numbered and TDP will closely follow it,” she said.

Farmers are in distress as the fertilizer price was increased nine times and the Government had slashed the subsidy which has increased the input cost drastically to the farmers. The frustrated farmers, who were denied the Minimum Support Price (MSP), had burnt their produce in market yard. Lack of power supply and hike in tariff has made agriculture non-profitable farmers in some areas have declared crop holiday.

Students are not happy as the welfare schemes are withdrawn and employees are sulking as many of their files are pending, she said adding that these circumstances along with the growing popularity of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy have compounded the problems of the State government.

She said that Ysr Congress Party will win all seats in the ensuing by-elections paving way for a smooth sail in the 2014 general elections.
