TDP and Congress have joint agenda: YSR Cong

Ysr Congress on Tuesday said that the ruling Congress and main opposition TDP have a joint agenda of trying to defame YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in a bid to share power in turns.

“TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu has institutionalised corruption and his growth from a two-acre land owner to a multi-crore entrepreneur vouches for his nature of nefarious operations,” party official spokesperson Vasireddy Padma told reporters here.

No court has given Chandrababu Naidu a clean chit nor did any House Committee clear his name in any of the scams attributed to him as he never faced a trial and always escaped by getting a stay. “If he is so sincere that his assets were not illegal, he should voluntarily come out and prove in a court of law that he is clean to all the charges leveled by Ms Vijayamma in her petition,” she said.

Taking strong objection to Naidu calling YS Jagan Mohan Reddy corrupt, she said, the nine-year term of the TDP leader is laden with scams, manipulations, corruption and quid pro quo. Books were written about his character and style of functioning by his own family members beginning with his co-brother Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, Hari Krishna besides BJP and CPM, she said.

“Chandrababu Naidu may claim that his wife was acclaimed as the best CEO but the Heritage bogus issue is known to one and all. Chittoor Dairy was forced to shut down to promote Heritage Foods and the quid pro quo was clearly visible in the funding of his son’s study abroad. If the passports of the family members are shown in the open it will speak volumes,” she alleged.

The TDP leader, she said, has met Union Home Minister P Chidambaram and Karnataka Governor Hans Raj Bhardwaj and had a secret deal with the Centre and State governments. While the party in power provides protection to his anomalies, he joins the Congress in tandem in attacking YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

“It was Chandrababu Naidu who was neck-deep in scams in the IMG-Bharatha land allotment and bringing in Reliance to the rescue of Ramoji Rao and gas from the KG-basin is going out of the State leaving locals high and dry. Though people gave a clear mandate rejecting him and his policies, he is still acting as the Chairman of the Harassing Committee formed to defame YS Jagan Mohan Reddy,” she said.

However, he might have escaped the legal trial but in people’s court he has been rejected time and again and will continue to be rejected, she said.
