“The Experts Committee will review the implementation of scheme under the Trust or insurance method and submit a report to the state government,’ he told reporters.

The Trust method would save Rs 150-200 crore expenditure on the government ex-chequer, he said.

When asked about resolving the 104 call centre contract employees demand for regularisation of services, he said, the employees were recruited by HMRI and they have to handle the issue.

However, the government will put in all efforts for the smooth functioning of the emergency services, he said.

Of the 800 ambulances, he said, 548 were operational and the government has released Rs 12.78 crore to clear pending dues.

He said the government would also call tenders for operating 104 services.
