TDP condemns Denduluru incident

Telugu Desam Party has condemned the arrest and attack on party MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar during the Rachabanda programme at Denduluru in West Godavari district on Saturday.

Addressing a press conference at NTR Trust Bhavan, Tdp MLAs Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu, Linga Reddy and Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy alleged that only Congress workers were getting government benefits in the Rachabanda and those who question them were being 'booted out and thrashed'. They demanded immediate release of Chintamaneni Prabhakhar from police custody and sought unconditional apology from the Tourism Minister Vatti Vasanth Kumar and the State Government for not following the protocol.

Speaking about scams, MLA Somireddy Chandrasekhar Reddy said that former chief minister late YS Rajasekhara Reddy's close friend and former government adviser KVP Ramachandra Rao was the mastermind behind the scams in the State worth thousands of crores of rupees. He demanded that the CBI should also look into the role played by KVP into various scams being investigated now.

Chandrasekhar Reddy said that Pulivendula MLA Y S Vijayamma has filed the petition against Tdp president N Chandrababu Naidu only to divert people's attention from the CBI's probe going-on against Jagan Mohan Reddy's illegal assets. He alleged that the petition was filed in connivance with the Congress party.
