Communist Party of India state secretary K Narayana on Thursday stated that his party would opposed to the proposal of including Kurnool and Anantapur districts in the yet to be formed Telangana state.

Talking to media persons at party office, the CPI leader alleged that he Centre came up with this proposal only to divert attention of people. He asked the Centre to explain the logic behind inclusion of Kurnool and Anantapur and exclusion of Kadapa and Chittoor from the proposed Telangana. He said the agitation path would be diverted if Kurnool and Anantapur districts are made of 'Rayala-Telangana'.
