Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy sprung into action soon after reports came about the blasts in New Delhi on Wednesday.

He reviewed the law and order situation and asked the Chief Secretary S V Prasad and top police officials to step up security measures in the city and other sensitive places in the state.

Keeping in mind the ensuing Ganesh immersion day, the Chief Minister asked the police officials to be on high alert. He asked them to increase vigilance and review provisions made to avoid any possible untoward incidents.

Blasts condemned:  Mr Reddy vehemently condemned the Delhi blasts. He said the perpetuators wanted to create panic, which was why they had resorted to such cowardly acts against innocent people. He expressed his condolences to the bereaved family members.
