CM to put problems in High Command's court

Political circles in the State, particularly in the corridors of power, are agog with only one topic-how many more legislators would jump onto the Jagan bandwagon and by when.

The return of the `aya ram, gaya ram’ phenomenon is putting Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy in a piquant position. Fearing a threat to his Ministry in the wake of intensified wooing operations by the Jagan camp, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy is embarking on a visit to New Delhi. He is likely to air dash to the party headquarters on Tuesday to discuss the issues threadbare.

He will keep the high command posted about the goings on in the State capital, particularly after Congress MLAs resigned alleging that former chief minister Y S Rajashekara Reddy’s was being needlessly maligned.

Rubbing salt to the wounds, the Telangana-based Congress members in the Council of Ministers have been shirking official responsibilities.

Political observers wonder how the high command would address the problem and more importantly what anti-dote they could possibly think of at this particularly critical stage. The High Command in already in a muddle following the abject surrender to Team Anna a couple of days back.

The Chief Minister will also seek the advice of the Delhi managers on how to keep a check on those who were planning to switch sides and the ‘yardstick’ to be employed in the event of anybody coming under the influence of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who is firm on dragging more and more legislators on to his side in order to ‘seek’ a mid-term elections.

As may be seen, Jaganmohan Reddy has been forced to go after the Congress flock only to find a kind of insulation against the unprecedented CBI raids on his business interests.

The CBI began the raids following the High Court directive to unearth matters in respect to Jagan Mohan Reddy’s il-gotten and unaccounted wealth.

The Chief Minister, it appears, has received intelligence reports that some more legislators were expected to switch political loyalties on Rajasekhara Reddy’s death anniversary on September 2.

The Chief Minister is being accompanied by APCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana and Deputy Chief Minister C Damodar Rajanarasimha, which is seen as indication to put the ball in the high command’s court.

The proposed Telangana JAC Employees’ strike from September 6 is adding spice to the drama being unfolded even as the non-Congress parties are watching each and every move with bated breath. Apparently, they expect to share the spoils.
