Three Ministers from Telangana region on Sunday lashed out at Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar for his continuous and unabated usage of objectionable language against Congress leaders, particularly against those hailing from Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions.

Speaking to media persons after offering rich floral tributes to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 63rd death anniversary at the statue on Assembly premises, Ministers J Geetha Reddy, Danam Nagender and Mukesh Goud said that the unabated use ‘foul’ language by Kcr is not only hurtful, but also sending wrong signals to people of the country about the aspirations and sentiments of the Telangana people.

Minister for Labour Welfare Danam Nagender said that Kcr must control his tongue and stop using foul language against Congress leaders. He said that Kcr’s diatribe goes against Telangana culture and ethos.

The Minister further said that Siddipet MLA Harish Rao is following his uncle Kcr’s lead and delivering provocative and hurtful speeches. Mr Nagender said that the language used by the two leaders is turning even those favourable to the separate Telangana demand against the people’s aspirations.

Condemning the hurling of eggs and chappals on convoys of Ministers and Legislators in a bid to obstruct the ongoing Racha Banda programme, Minister for Heavy Industries J Geetha Reddy said that the TRS was trying to sabotage the government’s initiative to bring benefits to the people.

She said, “The TRS leaders should not disrupt the programme as it is aimed to address people’s problems in Telangana region.”

Ms Geetha Reddy further added that the Telangana leaders should not link the programme with separate statehood issue. The Centre will take a decision on the Telangana state issue at appropriate time, she stated.

Echoing Ms Geetha Reddy’s words was Marketing and Warehousing Minister Mukesh Goud who said that the obstructions were harming the people. He added that the people who had a list of long-pending problems to be resolved, are not taking kindly to the disruptions to a programme aimed to benefit them. Mr Mukesh Goud added that the people would vent their fury at the disruptions and give a fitting lesson to the TRS at the time of elections.
