Senior Congress leader and MLC Paladugu Venkat Rao on Friday expressed confidence that the new Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy would accommodate spotless and ‘untainted by corruption’ persons in his Cabinet.
Talking to media persons at CLP Office, the MLC said that the Chief Minister should give priority to those who work round-the-clock to address people’s problems.
Mr Venkat Rao further asked KKR to accommodate those leaders who are not embroiled in any controversies as Ministers in his Cabinet. He added that longstanding loyalty to the party should also be the criteria for getting a Ministerial berth.
When asked if he was also aspiring for a berth in the Cabinet, the MLC shot back, “why not?”
He pointed out that, “I have been serving the party as a loyal and dedicated worker in the party since 50 years. The High Command should recognize my services and give me a chance to serve people in the capacity of a Minister.”
“The High Command should recognize senior and experienced leaders and their services and accommodate them in the new Cabinet,” he pointed out.
