Minister for Panchayatraj Botsa Satyanarayana on Saturday assured agitating students from Andhra region that their interests would be protected.
He categorically stated that nothing untoward would happen and that he would not tolerate if any injustice is meted out to them.
Speaking to media persons at the state Secretariat, Mr Satyanarayana sought to allay the fears of these students by stating that the government would not ignore the Andhra region as it was part of the state.
The Minister also blamed a television channel, which is purported to have telecast a different version of his views expressed yesterday. He clarified that he always stood by Chief Minister K Rosaiah's decision.
Stating that Mr Rosaiah’s decisions were binding on all the Ministers, Mr Satyanarayana stated that there were no differences with the Chief Minister in regard to the postponement of the SI recruitment test.
