Senior Telangana Rashtra Samithi Leader T Harish Rao on Thursday called upon party cadre and students to obstruct the Telangana Ministers, MPs and MLAs from participating in the Andhra Pradesh Formation Day celebrations scheduled to be held on November 1.

Talking to media persons, Mr Harish Rao revealed that the TRS cadre would block all roads in Telangana to protest against the Formation Day celebrations and boycott the Ministers’ programmes in the districts.

He said the Ministers’ effigies would be burnt in the villages and those who participated in the celebrations, would not be allowed to visit Telangana region.

The TRS leader alleged that the Telangana Congress leaders, who are extending financial assistance to the families of those who lost their lives fighting for a separate Telangana state, are insulting the Martyrs by participating in the Andhra Formation Day celebrations.

Mr Harish Rao asked the people of Telangana, students and employees to observe the day as ‘Betrayal Day’ and shun the celebrations.

He also asked Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu to clarify whether he would celebrate November 1 as AP Formation Day or as Betrayal Day.

The TRS leader alleged the Chief Minister was being laggardly in taking an all-party delegation to New Delhi on free zone issue.

He also blamed both Chief Minister K Rosaiah and TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu for being biased against Telangana.
