Doubts on 'Geethanjali 2'

Kona Venkat’s debut production venture of ‘Geethanjali’ got thumbs up response at BO because of the brand name of Kona and the image of Anjali among Telugu speaking people. Putting it straight, debutant director Raj Kiran is still lying in anonymity with no recognition in film circles ever after directing a hit film. To bargain the popularity, Raj Kiran started his own trials for second film and thus is in the process of finalizing ‘Geethanjali 2’ with Colors Swathi as heroine.   

Film circles say, Raj Kiran succeeded in finding a producer and also offered advance remuneration to Colors Swathi blocking the dates. At this penultimate hour when the project has to go on sets, we heard that Raj Kiran could not get a full-fledged bound script ready leading to a delay in production. As Swathi is in-demand artist with busy call sheets, it looks as if the time wasted till now and the time to be wasted in coming days would penalize the producer keeping ‘Geethanjali 2’ in real doubts.
