Veteran director and producer Sekhar Kammula's 'Pratighatana' hit the screens recently and tasted disaster result at the box office. Shockingly, the movie could not even collect a share of Rs.1000 per show in any theater on its release day. Instead of admitting his fault with his poor directorial skills and low production values of the movie, the director blamed the audiences. He said, " The audiences stuck on to youth and horror films and they don't watch woman oriented films."
However, director Sekhar Kammula, unintentionally, gave a big retort to Thammareddy's words. Sekhar Kammula's new movie 'Anamika' is a women oriented film. Unlike Thammareddy, Kammula seems to have been succeeded in doing the excellent screen play work of 'Anamika'. The first reel of the movie was showed in TV 9 yesterday. Given this 12 minute film, it can be understood that the movie has been made with good production values, good cinematography and interesting screen play.
