Ever since Chiranjeevi merged his PRP into the Congress Party, many speculations have been made that Chiranjeevi would be made as a central cabinet minister or central deputy minister. After PRPs merger, every now and then, some of the changes are being made in central cabinet. However, Chiranjeevi was not taken to the central cabinet. Lately, after completion of presidential  polls, the central cabinet was expanded again. However, Chiranjeevi got failed in getting the minister post again. Obviously, some of the media sources started mocked at him for not getting benefited by the congress high command again.

Latest grapevine from the close sources of Chirajeevi is that, it was Chiranjeevi, who has been rejecting central minister post to be offered by the congress high command for a long while. According to the sources, a deal has already been finalized to offer a key post to Chiranjeevi in the state and that is why he has rejected the central minister post. However, it is still uncertain, whether, when Chiranjeevi would take up the responsibilities of that new job. A clear picture can be seen in future only whether this gossip turns out to be true or not.
