2012: Year of Fantasy & Mythologies

Apparently, 2012 is going to be an year of fantasy and mythological movies. May be Ram Charan's 'Magadheera' and Balakrishna's 'Sri Ramarajyam' inspired many heroes and the producers to do the movies in different formats. Have a look at following movies and their formats.

DAMARUKAM : This socio-fantasy film is essayed by King Nagarjuna and sexy Anushka. The story of this flick is likely on the lines of 'Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari'. Anushka will be seen as devakanya in the movie.

SHIRDI SAI: After 'Annamayya' and 'Sri Ramadasu', Nagarjuna is once again coming up with a devotional movie. However, this time he is doing god's role instead of devotee.K.Raghavendra Rao is the director. Keeeravani is rendering the music of this film.

DARUVU: One of the hit formulas of tollywood is incorporating lord Yama as one of the characters of the movie. Currently, Ravi Teja's 'Daruvu' is being canned with the same formula. Taapsi is doing opposite to him. Prabhu will be seen as Yama in this movie.

DEVUDU CHESINA MAUSHULU: Although the details of the story of this movie are not fully known, it is learnt that there is a 'devudu' character in this movie. Ravi Teja and Ileana are the leading star cast of this movie while Puri Jagannadh is directing it.

VOOKODATHAARAA..VULIKKI PADATHAARAA: Balakrishna and Manoj are seen in this multi-starrer flick. The story of this movie is based on re-births. Balakrishna will be seen as king like character as well as the ghost in this movie.

K.RAGHAVENDRA RAO'S MYTHOLOGICAL MOVIE: Director K.Raghavendra Rao is doing a full fledged mythological movie this year. Mohan Babu will be seen as Ravana in this movie. Shriya is doing the role of Apsarasa. Many more leading actors are expected to be the cast of this movie.

ALLARI NARESH'S SOCIO-FANTASY FILM: Comedy Megastar Allari Naresh is also doing a socio fantasy movie. This movie is also based on yamalokam story. Richa Panay is the heroine of this film and she will be seen in the role of deva kanya in this film. 

BOTTOM-LINE: Watching movies with different formats is always interesting. Hope, the golden period of 1950s and 1960s will be brought back by our tollywood biggies.
