Rana injured for Ganesh Immersion

Daggubati Rana shooting for an action sequence in steel factory on outskirts of Mumbai for upcoming film ‘Department’ got injured severely. Rana was supposed to jump over few boxes for the scene. Due to mistiming and miscalculation, he fell directly on knees and the impact was so terrible that knee caps broke into pieces.

‘We have done few of similar stunts. My timing went wrong. My left knee is not that bad but it hurts and there is also a big purple bruise on my right shoulder. My co-fighters have put the ice packs. I do not want to use dupes because it takes so much of time. I wanted to wrap the shooting because I don’t want to get stuck in Ganesh Immersion traffic. So, I dared for doing the stunts on my own,’ said Rana who will come back today to Hyderabad for resting till weekend.
