The biggest puzzle that is breaking the brains of trade pundits now is how vulnerable is Super Star Rajinikanth’s ‘Robot’ with such heavy making cost? When Bollywood biggies are popping their eyes on Rs.150 to 180 Crore budget of the movie, our South (Tollywood and Kollywood) is sitting safe with high ticket prices in the name of Premier shows. Thanks that our Kanna Rao hasn’t decided any such but Kollywood and overseas market is flurrying with advance bookings at double to tripe the regular ticket prices.
To compete with Robot are our Telugu ‘Brindavanam’ and ‘Khaleja’ made on Rs.40 to 45 Crores budget each. If Sun Pictures market calculations and strategy is proved right, then ‘Robot’ will stand as the best path breaking movie ever in Indian Film industry else the formula of limited budgets like Rs.30 to 45 Crores on top heroes in respective fields (Eg: Mahesh Babu’s Khaleja and Junior NTR’s Brindavanam) which is presently in vogue will get still more standard.
Let us wait few more hours to know how will our Indian audience solve this algebra?
