Secret behind RGV's U-turn to Tollywood

‘Telugu movie making style and audience of Andhra Pradesh haven’t reached the level to understand my movies. So, I don’t want to make further more movies in Telugu and Iam dispersing,’ was the statement from Ramgopal Varma some 11 years ago and then he started making his mark in Bollywood.

One by one, Ramgopal Varma too delivered good hits in Bollywood making a style of his own. From last few years, Bolly audience too have bored of Varma and his factory movies. Result is that, Varma delivered disasters and suddenly shifted his eyes onto Tollywood again.

Insiders feel that, over these 11 years Tollywood has come a long way from regular formula and heroism based flicks to reality check. Irrespective of the star cast and story; narration has become the most commanding factor in success of many movies. Tastes of audience are quickly changing and people started appreciating movies with difference and this has been proved many a times in last few years as young talent is flooded into industry trying to change the mindset of people.

Secret is that Varma very well knows the formula of making bulk number of movies; he is a perfectionist and now he believes that there is enough room in Tollywood to make his presence felt. No wonder, Varma may even start producing Telugu films again from his factory giving chances to new talent in this part of India.

Let us wish that Varma doesn’t leave Tollywood again…
