Dilruba (2025) Movie: Story Review

Dilruba story is all about a youngster who suffers a breakup and his life takes a drastic turn with the entry of another girl. Siddhu aka Siddharth Reddy (Kiran Abbavaram) comes across a beautiful girl Anjali (Rukshar Dhillon) after a heartbreaking breakup. Where this leads to, what are the reasons for the breakup and how it is connected to Maggie (Kathy Davison), what it has got to do with dreaded smuggler Joker (John Vijay) and others form the interesting developments.

Dilruba (2025) Movie: Artists Review

Kiran Abbavam tried his best to show different mannerisms and variations in expressions and emotions. He showed the right attitude and made an impact on the screen. However, he needs to improve his dialogue delivery to reach the next level of stardom. He danced with ease and enacted high octane stunts though it did not suit his image.

Rukshar Dhillon played the typical heroine role and she looked cute and indulged in glamor treat. She looked bubbly and energetic on the screen. Kathy Davison is ok in her role. John Vijay's role looked half baked and right from the characterisation, everything looked silly.

Aadukalem Naren played the role of the father quite well and he brought in decency to the proceedings. Satya's comedy didnot workout at all. Others performed according to their roles.

Dilruba (2025) Movie: Technicians Review

Dilruba story is penned by Viswa Karun. He tried to attract viewers with the action packed romantic entertainer on Holi day. But right from the first scene till the end of the first half, everything looked pretty ordinary. None of the scenes offered any freshness and viewers are left scratching their heads as to why the director is offering the 80s repeated stuff and testing their patience. As though that was not enough, Viswa Karun tried to elevate the heroism of Kiran Abbavaram with high octane sequences shocking all. Even a sensible filmmaker would know that mass action and high octane action blocks will not suit Kiran Abbavaram who is known for his romantic feelgood entertainers.

While the first half had few youthful romantic elements, the introduction of antagonist character irritates and increases the torture to the viewers. The scenes looked extremely disconnected and disjointed and the antagonist characterisation tests the patience of all. To the top of it, the second heroine entering the story trying to unite the estranged lovers also acts as a stumbling block. All those looks silly and outdated. Finally when the climax is completed and the film ends, people heave a sigh of relief.

Dilruba suffers from outdated story, senseless and silly screenplay and direction from Viswa Karun who chose the 80s template without coming with a proper and strong plot. Most of the scenes smacks of logic and those look similar to hero bashing baddies without his ironed clothes getting wrinkles.

Music tuned by Sam. CS is youthful. Couple of songs are shot in a colourful and appealing manner. They are well choreographed. His background music is intense and elevates the scenes, especially the action sequences. Praveen KL's editing is ok but he left many predictable scenes unattended to. Daniel Viswas' cinematography is good and turned the room visually appealing. Dialogues are on to attract masses. Production values are good.

Dilruba Movie: Advantages

  • Kiran Abbavaram hard work
  • Rukshar Dhillion's cute looks
  • Few Songs
  • BGM

Dilruba Movie: Disadvantages

  • Outdated Elements
  • Over The Top Episodes
  • Silly Scenes

Dilruba (2025) Telugu Movie: Rating Analysis

Altogether, Dilruba turns out to be silly and over the top, outdated youthful entertainer. Kiran Abbavaram changed his mannerisms attract the masses but director Viswa Karun came up with routine and monotonous scenes to highlight the romantic elements, youthful feel and emotions and went overboard with the action sequences failing to connect chords with the viewers. Considering all thes aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 2.25 rating for Dilruba.
