Vijay Sethupathi B-Town debut Mumbaikar on OTT

Vijay Sethupathi's Bollywood debut film Mumbaikar skips theatrical release and is racing for OTT streaming. The film will be streaming on Jio Cinema on 2 June 2023.

Confirming the streaming date officially, the makers posted "Mumbai sheher, ek kidnapping aur bohot saara confusion! Kya yeh galti se hui mistake padegi sab pe bhaari? #Mumbaikar streaming from 2nd June for free, only on @officialjiocinema"

The teaser showed an interesting drama revolving around the kidnapping of a kid with Vijay Sethupathi seen as a don in Mumbai. Santosh Sivan directed the film for which Lokesh Kanagaraj provided the story. The film starred Tanya Maniktala, Raghav Binani, Sachin Khedekar, and others in important roles.

Salil Amrute and Ram Surendar scored the music while Santosh Sivan handled the cinematography. The film is a remake of the Tamil hit Maanagaram. Shibu Thameens bankrolled the project on HR Pictures and Jio Cinema banners.
